As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for managing and leading the Mechanical Department. You will be pivotal in liaising with the client and project manager and coordinating engineering activities with other disciplines in the project. Additionally you will monitor and control budgets and ensure excellent quality of documentation within the department and input to tenders and proposals for Mechanical Engineering. A strong demonstration of interpersonal and leadership skills will see you organizing, managing and appraising a team of Mechanical and Piping discipline engineers and designers. To successfully secure this role, you will possess a Degree in Engineering, with a minimum of 12 years Mechanical and Piping engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, 10 years of which has been dedicated to design in Onshore and Offshore related facilities. Ideally you will be a member of the Institute of Engineers, Australia (MIEA) or equivalent and possess extensive current design experience with renowned design houses within the petrochemical industry, particularly in offshore oil and gas installations. Most importantly, you will be equipped with thorough knowledge of the Industry’s codes and standards and a good understanding of offshore engineering practices applicable to topsides equipment layout and piping design for oil and gas facilities.

Main accountabilities:

Job Requirements:

· Engineering Degree with min 10 years experience in oil and gas industry
· Experience in FPSO conversion projects, working on the Operator's side in the above mentioned disciplines
· Strong technical knowledge and supervisory skills
· Good leadership and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

* Chemical cleaning and oil flushing pipelines of Fuel Gas Generators, Vapor Recovery unit, water flood, LACT, Power Generation Units and Port & Stbd Process Modules.
* Water flushing of heating Medium system through filtering system.
* Drying of pipelines by nitrogen purging to minus 15°C through dew point meter.
* Oil sample cleanliness testing by the use of Portable Oil Diagnostic System Particle Counter to NAS (National Aerospace Standard) as required by client.
* Control and operate chemical cleaning & oil flushing pumps.
* Rigging and de-rigging for chemical cleaning and oil flushing.

Requirements:

* Degree for Engineer position
* Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
* Excellent command of both written and spoken English
