The Electrical & Instrument Engineer will provide engineering and maintenance expertise including design, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning for a large offshore gas project.
Responsibilities include:-

Providing Electrical & Instrument discipline support during design and construction that meets the required electrical & Instrument engineering and HSE standards for all electrical & Instrument system required for the project.

Monitoring and reporting contractor progress in design of Electrical & Instrument infrastructure system, and highlight any potential delays and deviations from the agreed project programme.

Coordinating with other project discipline engineers on relevant technical matters during design and construction.

Ensuring (demonstrably) quality in design.

Ensuring that all-electrical system DD activities, information, design changes, variations and decisions are properly processed, approved and documented.

Handover to maintenance and establishing maintenance procedures

Ensure that trainees are properly supported and trained to achieve the required competency level
The following qualifications, skills and experience is required:-
-
Degree in Electrical or Instrument Engineering or equivalent with minimal 10 years experience in electrical & instrument engineering including design, construction, commissioning and maintenance within an operator environment.

Conversant with relevant international standards.

Strong analytical abilities and practical approach.

Experience in presenting progress report to management.

Good spoken/written English and PC literate.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.
-
Must have the ability and confidence to work with minimum supervision.
