Seraya Chemicals is currently looking for a Cost Estimation Engineer.(Job ID: A12172)

Responsibilities:

As part of the project management team at Shell Chemicals Seraya, you will be responsible for cost & schedule estimation for all projects developed within the site. Responsibilities include:

  • Champion detailed cost & schedule estimation for all projects;
  • Support the project development team in providing early estimates;
  • Establish cost estimating tool and database for accurate project cost estimation;
  • Conduct Front End Loading Assessments and assurance review processes;
  • Support the Value Engineering process during the development stage;
  • Drive project estimate and cost to low, continuously;
  • Track completed project cost, report deviations and lessons learned to improve the accuracy, continuously;
  • Knowledge on Project Controls, reporting and monitoring portfolio of projects;
  • Support project control engineer on need basis to generate reports and analyze for improvement .
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Mechanical preferred;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a cost estimation engineer;
  • Have thorough knowledge in cost estimation of mechanical, piping, electrical, instrument and civil scopes;
  • Experienced in setting up cost estimation processes and tools for portfolio of capital projects;
  • Previous experience as project/field engineer and/or planner is an advantage;
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal qualities to manage and interact with others;
  • Sharp and strong analytical abilities, and attention to detail is essential;
  • Ability to manage conflicts is essential.
