Reservoir Engineer

Deir Ez Zor Petroleum Co. (DEZPC) is a 50-50 JV between Syria Petroleum Company
and TOTAL Exploration & Production Syria. DEZPC operates eight oil fields
(20 wells, 48,000 bopd) in the Deir Ezzor region.

TOTAL E&P Syrie is looking to grow its Operations Division with a Reservoir Engineer. This individual will be responsible for reservoir management of Jafra and Qahar fields, which are the 2 main assets of DEZPC under the supervision of Head of Reservoir Engineering. In this capacity, the Reservoir Engineer will be a technical advisor for ECLIPSE software (reservoir simulations); have direct and daily relations with all the departments of DEZPC Operations Division as well as with contractors (Schlumberger, Sapesco) and participates in the annual monitoring plan (1MMUSD budget).

From a technical perspective, this person will be in charge of reservoir simulations for DEZPC; following-up on well production performance on a weekly basis; programs, initiates and perform the interpretation of the monitoring operations on Jafra / Qahar; proposes the update of reserves estimates and production profiles 3 times a year for Qahar and Jafra fields and initiates optimisation plan and follows-up (for the reservoir part) the drilling of new wells.

Successful candidates will have a general engineering degree (preferably graduate from ENSPM) with 3 years' minimum experience in Reservoir Engineering (simulation Eclipse) is mandatory.
