STRUCTURAL SUPERINTENDENT (BASED IN BATAM)

PT. SHI INDONESIA is a well established company engaged in engineering & construction for offshore Oil & Gas industry. We invite highly motivated and competent individuals to join us for the following position:

STRUCTURAL SUPERINTENDENT (BASED IN BATAM)

Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the planning, analysis, recommendations in support of project construction
* Ensure that contractors are working in the required work areas locations and elevations
* Ensure all design work is safe and carried out in a safe manner, and conform to the codes and standards used by the client, or to agreed industry standards
* Supervise the daily construction activities at work site, including scheduling of workers, delivery of equipment and materials, and progress of the project
* Work with contractors to complete project within the given budget and timeframe
* Analyze suitable configurations of the basic structural components of a project structure
* Calculate the pressures, stresses and strains that each component is likely to experience from other parts of the structure or from external pressures
* Considering the strength of various materials, e.g. timber, concrete, and steel, to see how their inclusion may necessitate a change of structural design
* Liaise with other designers, including architects, to reach agreement about safe designs and how they may fit in with the aesthetic concept of the construction
* Communicate the design of a structure through drawings, specifications and computer models so that others can construct it

Requirements:
* Engineering degree with minimum 5 years relevant experience in On-Shore/Offshore Oil & Gas fabrication
* Preferable from Batam domicile or willing to be stationed at Batam
* Willing to work in a fabrication/construction environment
* Interview will be conducted in Batam
